SUBMISSION DEADLINE:

All films appropriate for a general audience will be run on a continuous loop during the Digital Media Production Center’s Grand Opening (January 30th & 31st). Prizes will be awarded on January 31st.

The Kent State University Trumbull Digital Media Production Center—in collaboration with KSU Trumbull Theatre, Hounding Productions, and Trumbull Satellite—is pleased to announce a Student Short Film Festival!

Contest Rules:
1. Any student of any age (pre-school to graduate school) may submit a short video!
2. Videos must be appropriate for a general audience.
3. Videos can be as short as 15 seconds, but no longer than 12 minutes.
4. Only students from the Northeast Ohio Area may submit entries.
5. No more than three videos from one person!

Submission Categories and Prizes

Video Vortex (Students Ages 4 to 6)
1ST Prize: $25 gift card, a ribbon, and a special toy
2ND Prize: $15 gift card, a ribbon, and a special toy
3RD Prize: $10 gift card, a ribbon, and a special toy
Honorable Mentions: a ribbon and a special toy

Media Mania (Students Ages 7 to 12)
1ST Prize: $50 gift card, a ribbon and a special toy
2ND Prize: $35 gift card, a ribbon and a special toy
3RD Prize: $20 gift card, a ribbon, and a special toy
Honorable Mentions: a ribbon and a special toy

Film Flair (Students Ages 13 to 17)
1ST Prize: $100 gift card, a ribbon, and a special toy
2ND Prize: $75 gift card, a ribbon, and a special toy

Cinema Celebration (Students Ages 18 to 110)

All videos submitted to the Google Folder will be downloaded and removed from the folder in a timely manner. Confirmation of receipt of your video will be sent to you as soon as download/removal has been completed, as long as the below form has also been completed.
